Alisha Din, 22, found this out the hard way when she bought a bikini from online retailer Pretty Little Thing. Din, who lives in Swansea in the United Kingdom, recently bought a teal, two-piece swimsuit to wear on vacation in Greece next month. In a statement to TODAY, Pretty Little Thing confirmed that some of the swimsuits on the site are not meant for swimming, and that this is noted in product descriptions. If customers are unsure, our customer service team are available to advise further on which styles cannot be worn for swimming.
I find it really hard to buy bikinis and when I stumbled across their stand at Happy Place Festival I thought they looked great. The top and bottoms were just perfect for my short and petite stature and stayed in place! Perfect for snorkelling, swimming and sunbathing and was very flattering. I used it on my holiday last week and I would highly recommend this brand. The material is also really comfortable and soft. Bought this and the briefs and absolutely love them! Beautifully made, lovely material and flattering shape.
LET'S face it - no one ever enjoys bikini shopping, so when you find a style you like then we all tend to stock up on it. Well that's precisely what Emily Charlton-Smith, 25, did when she ordered her favourite PrettyLittleThing swimsuit in a different colour ahead of her upcoming holiday. However, Emily was left totally mortified when the double-lined bikini went totally see-through as she took a dip in the pool.
